Subaru Uncharted electric SUV debuts in Europe with prices starting around NT$1.22 million; Taiwan launch confirmed

Subaru has officially launched its new all-electric crossover SUV, the Uncharted, in the European market. This marks Subaru's third electric vehicle, following the Solterra and Trailseeker. The Uncharted is priced between 33,500 and 42,500 Euros in Spain, which translates to approximately NT$1.22 million to NT$1.55 million. Subaru's general agent in Taiwan has confirmed plans to introduce the Uncharted to the Taiwanese market, offering consumers a new all-electric SUV option, though the exact launch date is yet to be announced.

The Uncharted is a collaborative effort between Subaru and Toyota, sharing its platform and design with the Toyota C-HR. However, Subaru has incorporated its own design cues to enhance its uniqueness and recognition. The front features a split LED headlight design, similar to the updated Solterra and Trailseeker, with daytime running lights positioned above the main illumination units. At the rear, it sports a split spoiler, a贯穿式 (horizontal) LED taillight, and a silver skid plate on the rear bumper, contributing to its rugged, outdoor aesthetic.

Inside, the Uncharted boasts a modern cockpit with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and Subaru's largest-ever 14-inch central touchscreen. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and includes two 15W wireless charging pads for added convenience.

In Spain, the Uncharted is available in three trim levels: Active, Field, and Touring. The Active and Field models are front-wheel drive. The Active variant is equipped with a 58 kWh battery, delivering 169 horsepower and a range of 445 kilometers. The Field model features a larger 77 kWh battery, producing 227 horsepower and offering a range of 584 kilometers.

The top-tier Touring model comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, powered by a 77 kWh battery. It generates a substantial 344 horsepower and has an estimated range of 475 kilometers. This model also includes Subaru's signature X-Mode for enhanced off-road capability. Furthermore, the Uncharted supports 150 kW fast charging, capable of replenishing the battery from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
