Sucre to Host Bolivia's Independence Day Ceremonies; President to Address Nation

Sucre, Bolivia – The historic city of Sucre, the constitutional capital, is preparing to host the official ceremonies commemorating Bolivia's independence anniversary on August 6. The events will be presided over by President Rodrigo Paz Pereira, marking a significant national celebration.

The day's proceedings will commence early with floral offerings at the Plaza 25 de Mayo, followed by flag-raising ceremonies and the singing of the national anthem at the Casa de la Libertad. A Te Deum mass will be celebrated at the Metropolitan Cathedral at 9:00 AM, a traditional part of the civic observance.

The centerpiece of the day will be the Honor Session of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly, scheduled for 10:00 AM in the Casa de la Libertad's Hemicircle. During this session, President Paz Pereira is expected to deliver his annual address to the nation, reflecting on the country's progress and future.

Following the official session, a state luncheon will bring together national authorities, members of the diplomatic corps, and special guests. The commemorative activities will extend into August 7 with a Military Parade in El Alto at 10:00 AM, showcasing the nation's armed forces.
