Sudameris supports Nelore presentation at Expo Paraguay

The Paraguayan Association of Nelore Breeders (APCN) is prominently featuring the Nelore breed at Expo Paraguay 2026, presenting a record 311 head from 35 exhibitor farms across the country. This strong participation solidifies Nelore as the breed with the largest presence at the expo, reflecting its sustained genetic growth and the dedication of Paraguayan producers.

The expo, which runs from July 11 to July 25, offers a comprehensive agenda. It combines technical, commercial, and institutional activities, including judging, auctions, training sessions, and social events. This platform provides producers, breeders, and visitors opportunities to witness the breed's advancements and explore business prospects within the sector.

The Nelore breed presents a total of 311 specimens this year 2026, consolidating itself as the breed with the largest participation in the show. This record reflects the sustained growth of Nelore genetics and the commitment of Paraguayan producers.

Esteemed Brazilian judge José Ferreira Pankowski, known for his extensive international experience, is leading the evaluations. His assessment aims to recognize the high genetic quality achieved by the Nelore breed in Paraguay. A notable aspect of this year's event is the extended three-day schedule for halter judging, necessitated by the significant volume of registered animals, as highlighted by APCN's second vice president, Pablo Camperchioli.

Commercial activities are also a key focus, with a field auction scheduled for July 17 and a halter animal auction on July 24. These events offer access to high-quality genetics, supporting the development of national production. Additionally, the traditional Nelore Parrilleros (Grill Masters) competition will take place, featuring renowned chef Leyzman Salim as a judge.
