Sultan Haitham receives Rwanda’s President Kagame in Salalah

Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received Rwandan President Paul Kagame at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah as Kagame began an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

The Omani monarch welcomed Kagame and wished him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant and successful visit. An official reception ceremony followed the president’s arrival.

The presidential motorcade was met by a Royal Cavalry squadron, which lined up in salute. Sultan Haitham accompanied Kagame to the dais, where Rwanda’s national anthem was played and a 21-gun salute was fired in his honor.

Sultan Haitham then greeted the Rwandan delegation, while Kagame greeted the Omani officials, senior figures and military commanders attending the ceremony. Kagame’s delegation includes Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe, Finance and Economic Planning Minister Yusuf Murangwa, Trade and Industry Minister Antoine Kajangwe, and State Minister for Agriculture and Animal Resources Solange Uwituze. It also includes Juliana Muganza, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, and Dan Munyuza, Rwanda’s non-resident ambassador to Oman.
