Summer Shows Its Other Face: Meteorologists Warn of Possible Severe Storms

After a period of warm and sunny weather, Croatia is set to experience a significant shift as meteorologists warn of potential severe thunderstorms. The change begins on Monday with partly sunny skies and variable clouds, but the forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the country.

The highest probability of precipitation is in inland Dalmatia and Gorski Kotar, where localized, intense downpours accompanied by thunder are possible. While the Adriatic coast will remain mostly sunny, temperatures in Dalmatia will stay very warm, reaching between 32 and 35 degrees Celsius.

Looking ahead, the weather is not expected to stabilize completely. Inland areas will experience partly sunny and cooler conditions with intermittent rain and thunderstorms, especially on Tuesday and Thursday. The Adriatic coast will largely remain partly to mostly sunny, though localized showers might occur late Tuesday and into Wednesday night. Meteorologists caution that some areas could face severe, even stormy, weather conditions.
