Sunday features a sporting truco event at the Yacht y Golf Club Paraguayo

The Yacht y Golf Club Paraguayo will host a significant event for enthusiasts of 'truco deportivo' this Sunday, July 5. The tournament, part of the Todo Truco Paraguay (TTP) tour, aims to bring together passionate players for a day of competition and camaraderie.

Participants will compete in teams of three, vying for the coveted championship trophy and a chance to qualify for the year-end Grand Slam of truco deportivo. The event is expected to draw over 60 trios, with players registered from the Central department, other regions of Paraguay, and even from Formosa city in Argentina. This international participation highlights the sport's regional popularity.

Representatives from prominent Paraguayan sports clubs, including Club Internacional de Tenis (CIT), Club Deportivo Alemán, Asociación Paraguaya de Caza y Pesca (APCP), Centro Militar y Aeronáutico, Lawn Tennis Club, Club Nacional, Par de Alfiles, and Club Puerta del Lago, are also expected to compete. The event is sponsored by Ramírez Díaz de Espada.

Todo Truco Paraguay (TTP), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport, has announced that registrations are still open until Sunday, July 5, at 9:30 AM. Interested participants can contact Oscar Acosta, president of the Yacht y Golf Club Paraguayo's sports games, or Amado Amarilla, TTP's general coordinator. TTP is also planning future competitions in Yaguarón on July 19 and Piribebuy on August 2.
