Sunday Igboho confirms injured security operatives recovered after forest ambush

Yoruba Nation advocate Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, has confirmed the full recovery of his private security operatives, Iru Ekun. The operatives sustained injuries during an ambush by suspected bandits in the Old Oyo National Park.

Igboho released a video message to dispel rumors about his well-being, assuring supporters he is safe and healthy. He stated that the injured operatives have recovered from their wounds. He also reaffirmed his resolve to continue efforts against criminal elements disrupting peace and security in the region.

"Rumours have been circulating, but I want to use this opportunity to assure all my loved ones across the world that I am safe," Igboho said. "Those who sustained injuries have now recovered. We will not relent until those disturbing the peace of our land are driven out."

The ambush occurred days after the Iru Ekun team was operating within the park to track suspected kidnappers and armed criminals. Sources indicated the team used surveillance drones before advancing into the area. They came under fire from heavily armed individuals, believed to be part of cross-border criminal networks, leading to injuries among the operatives.
