Sunny Skies and Rising Temperatures Return to Croatia After Weekend Storms

Following a weekend marked by unstable weather, including rain and localized thunderstorms, Croatia is set to welcome a return to sunny skies and rising temperatures. The beginning of the new week promises more stable conditions across most of the country.

Meteorologists predict predominantly sunny weather for Monday, with only a slight chance of cloud development and isolated showers, particularly in Slavonia during the afternoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the northwest. Morning temperatures are expected to range between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs reaching around 30 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are forecast for central Croatia and the northern Adriatic coast, where temperatures could climb to 31-32 degrees Celsius. Mountainous regions will experience slightly more pleasant temperatures around 29 degrees Celsius.

As the week progresses, a gradual warming trend is anticipated. Sunny weather will prevail inland, with hot conditions expected in most areas. However, the atmosphere may not remain entirely stable. By Tuesday, there's a possibility of localized afternoon showers in the western parts of the country. These showers could extend to eastern regions and mountainous areas by Wednesday. The Adriatic coast will largely remain sunny and very warm, with increasingly warm nights.

Coastal areas will see light to moderate northwesterly and southwesterly winds during the day, with a bora wind expected along the coast in the mornings. Southern Croatia will also experience sunny weather, with sea temperatures ranging between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, offering a refreshing respite during the hot days.
