Support groups form for New Taipei mayoral candidate Su Chia-chyun, who sees a new era dawning

Su Chia-chyun, a legislator and candidate for New Taipei City mayor, has been actively building her campaign by establishing support groups across various sectors. On Monday, she launched a Yunlin County Hometown Association support group, highlighting the growing momentum behind her bid.

Su noted that her campaign has been diligently engaging with the public through markets and temples, and has held over 40 forums with city council members and candidates. Following the announcement of her policy proposals, friends from diverse industries and fields supporting the "New Taipei Team" are stepping forward, with support groups forming sequentially. She expressed confidence that these supporters believe not only in her but also in the imminent arrival of a new era for New Taipei.

The establishment of the Yunlin Hometown Association support group saw a significant turnout, with many directors attending. Su also pointed out that several incumbent and candidate city council members share Yunlin roots. She further highlighted endorsements from various prominent individuals, including author Yang Shuang-tzu, boxing champion Lin Yu-ting, and Ming Hwa Yuan theater's third-generation member Chen Chao-hsien, alongside supporters from the diving and ceramics communities. This broad base of support, she believes, signifies a collective belief in her vision for a more beautiful New Taipei.
