Suspect arrested after student stabbed at Banting school; victim stable

A suspect has been apprehended by police following a stabbing incident at a school in Banting, Selangor, which left a female student injured.

The victim is currently receiving medical attention at the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. The Selangor State Education Department (JPN) confirmed its full cooperation with the ongoing investigation by authorities.

"Our main focus at this moment is to ensure the injured student receives the best possible treatment and that assistance is provided to the family," the JPN stated in a release today. A team of counselors and guidance teachers has been mobilized to offer psychosocial support to students, teachers, and the entire school community.

Kuala Langat District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi, confirmed the incident, stating that further information would be shared promptly. The JPN Selangor has also advised the public against speculating or spreading unverified information that could impede the investigation.
