The initial raid targeting a suspected methamphetamine dealer in Tumbang Kalemei village occurred early Thursday (July 2). During the operation, officers reportedly faced resistance from individuals armed with sharp weapons, leading to the deaths of Aipda Yudhi Perdana Putra, Bripda Nopandri Ramadhana, and Aiptu Sumaryanto, who were found deceased in the Katingan River after being reported missing.
