Suspected criminal associate arrested in Dhaka over attempted murder

Dhaka Metropolitan Police have arrested an individual identified as Md Suleiman, also known as Tanim Reza and Bappi, who is alleged to be an associate of the listed criminal Subrata Bain. The arrest occurred in the Motijheel area and is linked to an attempted murder case filed at the Motijheel Police Station.

Bappi was named in a case filed over a shooting at a BNP leader's office in Motijheel several months ago.

According to Mohammad Harun Or Rashid, deputy commissioner of DMP's Motijheel Division, Bappi was named in a case stemming from a shooting incident at a BNP leader's office several months prior. The case was officially lodged on charges of attempted murder following the event. Police reports indicate that Bappi faces accusations in a total of seven criminal cases, including one for allegedly abetting suicide.
