Suspected Criminal Leader "El Kado" Arrested in Yucatan, Linked to Drug Trafficking and Extortion in Baja California

Mexican federal authorities have apprehended Héctor Manuel “N,” known by the alias “El Kado,” in Valladolid, Yucatan. Officials identify him as a key leader within a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking and extortion, primarily operating in Baja California.

"El Kado" allegedly managed illicit activities, including drug sales and extortion rackets, across Tijuana, Tecate, and the Valle de Guadalupe region. His operations reportedly included ongoing conflicts with the "Los Mayos" faction of the Sinaloa cartel, vying for control over drug smuggling routes into the United States.

The capture was a collaborative effort involving Mexico's Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Attorney General's Office (FGR), and the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection (SSPC). This operation benefited from intelligence sharing with U.S. security agencies.

This arrest follows closely on the heels of another significant bust over the weekend, where federal forces detained Justo “N” in Merida, identified as a financial operator for a criminal group. During searches in Merida and Komchén, authorities seized high-end vehicles, weapons, cash, and other assets valued at over 145 million pesos.
