Mexico seizes over 3.7 million liters of hydrocarbon-like substance in Reynosa

In a significant operation in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, national defense forces and allied agencies have seized more than 3.7 million liters of a substance resembling hydrocarbon. The seizure, a result of coordinated efforts by the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), the National Guard, the Attorney General's Office (FGR), and Pemex's Physical Security division, targets illicit activities within the region.

The operation not only secured the substantial volume of liquid but also led to the confiscation of an entire property. Additionally, authorities impounded numerous vehicles, including six tractor-trailers, seven tanker trucks, and eight motor pumps, along with eleven mobile storage tanks and three electric generators. This comprehensive action aims to dismantle networks involved in illegal fuel operations.

All confiscated assets have been turned over to the FGR in Reynosa, which will spearhead the ongoing investigations and forensic procedures. Sedena emphasized that the operation adhered strictly to the rule of law and human rights, underscoring its commitment to restoring peace and security for the Mexican populace. The military and National Guard reaffirmed their dedication to combating organized crime and safeguarding families across the nation.
