Suva Marathon launched ahead of August event

The Rexona Suva Marathon 2026 was officially launched in Suva, promising a vibrant celebration of community, health, and active living on August 8. The Suva Marathon Club is hosting the event, which anticipates drawing runners from across Fiji and internationally.

Participants aged 14 and above are invited to join a range of race categories. Registrations opened today via Ticketmax, with entry fees set at $70 for the full marathon, $50 for the half marathon, and $15 for the 10-kilometer race. The popular Team Marathon also returns, featuring a Social League at $50 per four-person team and a Business League at $80.

Organizers emphasize the event's commitment to inclusion, healthy living, and community engagement, welcoming everyone from elite athletes to families, corporate teams, and recreational runners. This year's marathon receives significant support from naming rights sponsor Motibhai Group through Rexona, and major sponsor Munro Leys. Other partners include The Fiji Times, Jack’s of Fiji, Weta Coffee, Pure Fiji, SportsWorld, Athletics Fiji, Ticketmax, and the Suva City Council.

Building on the success of previous events, the marathon route will again run along Suva's scenic seawall. Albert Park Pavilion will serve as both the start and finish venue for the full marathon, half marathon, 10-kilometer race, and team marathon events.
