Suzuki launches updated Brezza SUV in India with new turbo engine

Suzuki has introduced a refreshed Brezza compact SUV in the Indian market, aiming to bolster its presence in the competitive SUV segment. The updated model boasts significant upgrades in its exterior design, powertrain options, and safety features, building on the Brezza's established success since its 2016 launch, which has seen cumulative sales exceed 1.4 million units.

The exterior of the new Brezza features a redesigned grille and front bumper, contributing to a more assertive SUV aesthetic and enhanced sportiness. Under the hood, the Brezza retains its 1.5-liter DualJet naturally aspirated engine while introducing a new 1.0-liter BoosterJet turbocharged engine. This addition promises superior acceleration and a more engaging driving experience, alongside improved fuel economy.

Suzuki is also offering a 1.5-liter DualJet CNG variant that supports carbon-neutral fuels like biogas. This version incorporates an underbody CNG tank design, which preserves ample luggage space and maintains practicality. Transmission options for the 1.5-liter engine include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the other two engine options are paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Safety has been a key focus in this upgrade. The new Brezza has earned a top five-star safety rating from the Indian New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP). This high safety score further enhances the vehicle's appeal and competitive edge in the Indian automotive landscape. The comprehensive improvements aim to solidify the Brezza's position as a leading choice for SUV buyers in India.
