Swallowed by a Whale: Deep-Sea Thriller "The Dive" Promises Extreme Survival

A young diver's search for his father's remains turns into a terrifying fight for survival in the new deep-sea thriller "The Dive." The film, adapted from a bestselling novel, follows diver Jack as he is swallowed whole by a massive 80-foot sperm whale while searching off the California coast.

Trapped 112 feet below the ocean's surface with only 60 minutes of oxygen, Jack must navigate the extreme conditions inside the giant creature. The film's latest trailer highlights the overwhelming pressure of the deep sea, where predators hold absolute dominance. Director and screenwriter Renny Harlin stated that the cast and crew filmed inside a large whale model at California Studios throughout the summer to bring Daniel Kraus's novel to life. He expressed eagerness for audiences to experience the effort and performances dedicated to telling this thrilling and emotional story in theaters starting October 16.
