Sweden’s “Love Is Blind” Put on Hold

Sweden’s “Love Is Blind” has been put on hold, even after the show won the Love Reality of the Year award at the Kristallen television awards earlier this week.

The Danish version is scheduled to be filmed in Sweden, so production of the Swedish edition must wait. All European versions of the program are filmed in Strängnäs, creating a shared production schedule for the shows.

That means viewers will not get a “Love Is Blind: Sweden” season in 2027, according to Aftonbladet. In the format, contestants date without seeing one another, then propose before meeting face to face for the first time after becoming engaged.

Netflix’s Swedish public relations agency told Aftonbladet during the summer that the Danish production had been planned for a long time. “Right now, the focus is on the Danish production, which has been planned for a long time.
