Swedish defenseman Arvid Aronsson extends contract with Kiekko-Espoo: 'Offers came from elsewhere'

Swedish defenseman Arvid Aronsson will continue his career with Kiekko-Espoo after signing a two-year contract extension. The 28-year-old, who has been with the Finnish club since the 2024-2025 season, expressed his commitment to the team, despite receiving interest from other clubs.

"Continuing here was an easy decision for me," Aronsson stated in a club release. "Offers came from elsewhere, but as my father said, if you are valued somewhere and a place feels like home, the choice is easy." He added, "Thank you to the people of Espoo, who have warmly welcomed me into this community. Home is where the heart is. I am an Espoo resident now and in the future."

Last season, Aronsson contributed 15 points (5 goals, 10 assists) in 57 games. He will also be changing his jersey number to 5, having previously worn number 55.
