Swedish Soft Drink Recalled After Strong Beer Found in Cartons

Brewery company Spendrups is initiating a recall of Trocadero Zero soft drink cartons after discovering that some packages contain cans of strong beer. This unexpected mix-up has led to the withdrawal of specific products from retailers.

The affected items are 24-pack cartons of Trocadero Zero that were sold at Lidl and Dollarstore. Spendrups emphasized that the soft drink itself is correctly packaged within these cartons, but the presence of strong beer cans is the cause for concern. The recall specifically applies to cartons with a best-before date of July 22, 2027.

Spendrups stated that it takes the incident very seriously and has launched an investigation to understand how the error occurred and to implement measures preventing similar mistakes in the future.
