Swiss Defender Amenda Moves from Frankfurt to Premier League's Coventry City

Swiss international Aurèle Amenda is moving from German club Eintracht Frankfurt to Premier League side Coventry City, the Bundesliga club announced. The 22-year-old defender has signed a long-term contract with the English team.

Amenda joined Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2022 from Young Boys Bern, though he completed the remainder of that season in Bern. He officially transferred to Frankfurt for the 2024/2025 season. During his tenure, he played in 42 competitive matches, including 29 in the most recent season. He was part of Switzerland's squad for the World Cup but did not feature in any games.

Eintracht Frankfurt's board member for sport, Markus Krösche, thanked Amenda for his contributions. Krösche emphasized Amenda's professional conduct and dedication to the team throughout his time at the club. Details regarding the transfer fee were not disclosed.

Coventry City, having recently been promoted to the Premier League, continues to strengthen its squad with the addition of Amenda, a player with international experience and significant game time in the German league.
