Syamsul Debat fulfills voting duty in Lenggeng state seat

Syamsul Amri Ismail, a popular Malaysian preacher known as Syamsul Debat, fulfilled his civic duty by voting in the Lenggeng state constituency. Despite a packed schedule of lectures across various locations, he made time to cast his ballot at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Panchor.

This marks the sixth time Syamsul Debat has voted in the Lenggeng area, which falls under the Seremban parliamentary constituency. As a native of Negeri Sembilan, he emphasized that differing voting locations for his wife and two children did not prevent the family from participating in the election.

He noted the area has seen several representatives over the years, mentioning the late Datuk Ishak Ismail, Mustafa Salim, and the current representative, Datuk Mohd. Asna Amin of Barisan Nasional (BN).

After casting his vote early in the morning, the preacher immediately headed to Putrajaya to fulfill a prior engagement, delivering a lecture. The Lenggeng state seat is contested by candidates from Barisan Nasional (BN), Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu). Panchor polling district has the largest number of registered voters in Lenggeng, exceeding 13,000. Historically a stronghold for UMNO, the area has seen shifting support patterns in recent elections. Lenggeng, situated in southern Negeri Sembilan and bordering Selangor, is considered a marginal seat due to close election results in the past.
