Syasya Rizal asks for hijab journey not to be belittled

Singer Syasya Rizal has urged netizens to refrain from belittling her decision to resume her singing career after adopting a hijab. The 25-year-old artist emphasized that her choice to wear the hijab was not taken lightly, involving a lengthy period of preparation, prayer, and conviction before she felt ready to cover her aurat.

"For some, it might seem like a small thing, but for me, it was a big step," Rizal stated via a Threads post. She revealed that the process took months, filled with effort, prayer, and conviction before she committed to wearing the hijab. She also addressed comments from some individuals who speculated she might remove it in the future.

Instead of making such assumptions, Rizal encouraged the public to offer prayers for those undergoing personal transformation. "So, please don't belittle someone's journey with comments like, 'She'll take it off soon.' Instead, pray for good things," she pleaded. She stressed that everyone has unique life paths and challenges, and one person's easy experience might be another's significant struggle.

Rizal stated she prefers not to dwell on others' opinions and instead focuses on self-improvement. "Ultimately, I'm just trying to be better than I was yesterday, and that's enough for me," she concluded. Previously, Syasya faced questions about her return to the music industry after her marriage and hijab, with some netizens doubting her continued career.
