Tabakovic transfers from Hoffenheim to Red Bull Salzburg

Striker Haris Tabakovic is returning to the Austrian Football Bundesliga, transferring from TSG Hoffenheim to Red Bull Salzburg. Both clubs confirmed the move on Saturday, with the Bosnian international signing a three-year deal with the Bulls that will keep him at the club until 2029. The reported transfer fee is approximately five million euros.

Tabakovic, 32, brings a wealth of experience to Salzburg, having previously played for Austria Lustenau and Wiener Austria. He also had a brief stint with Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan, where he scored 13 goals in 32 league appearances. His transfer comes after a successful period in Germany, where he was the top scorer in the second division while playing for Hertha BSC before moving to Hoffenheim in the summer of 2024.
