Tackling pollution is a cancer-prevention measure, Sultan Nazrin says

Cancer prevention cannot focus only on smoking and diet, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah of Perak said. It must also confront air pollution and hazardous substances released by industry and vehicles.

The sultan said scientific evidence shows that pollution harms more than the lungs. Chemicals from industrial activity, traffic and fuel burning also need to be addressed as part of efforts to prevent cancer.
