Taichung Updates List of Businesses Affected by Carcinogenic Oil

Taichung City's government is continuing its investigation into the distribution of a carcinogenic oil, with the Food and Drug Administration updating its list of affected businesses. The city's health authorities announced on July 25 that they have identified six additional businesses that received the contaminated product.

The ongoing probe involves cross-referencing central government data, reports from businesses, inter-city notifications, and on-site inspections. Taichung authorities are working to trace the oil's flow, facilitate recalls, and conduct inspections at the retail level, including businesses beyond the third tier of distribution.
