Tainan City announced the results of its domestic longan honey evaluation, recognizing 8 beekeepers with 'Special Prizes' and 11 with 'First Prizes'. The competition highlights the quality of honey produced in the region, despite challenges faced by local farmers this year.

Producers experienced a significant 50% reduction in longan honey yield due to inconsistent flowering caused by weather impacts. A site assessment for longan crop damage is scheduled for the following day. Despite the reduced output, the quality of the honey remains stable, a testament to the beekeepers' diligent care and professional management.
