Tainan's Summer Wave Festival to feature water attractions, local crafts, and prizes

Tainan's Shanshang Garden Waterway Museum is set to host its second annual "Summer Wave Festival - Rising Tide" on August 1 and 2. Building on the success of last year's event, which attracted over 5,000 visitors daily, this year's festival promises enhanced attractions for families and water enthusiasts.

The festival will feature the popular 100-meter water slide from last year, alongside a newly added 20-meter inflatable water park. Complementing the water activities, over 30 distinctive cultural and creative stalls will offer a variety of goods, including food, handmade crafts, and lifestyle products, creating a vibrant market atmosphere.

A new "consumption points" loyalty program has been introduced this year, encouraging visitors to support local vendors. For every NT$100 spent, participants earn one point, with five points qualifying them for a lucky draw. Over 200 prizes have been collected from participating vendors, offering a chance to win items like metalworking experiences, traditional blown sugar crafts, and local honey.

Additionally, the museum has organized various other activities, including educational museum challenges, tree climbing experiences, and handicraft workshops. Children aged 12 and under can enter the museum for free during the event upon presenting valid identification. The festival aims to provide a comprehensive summer experience combining water fun, cultural exploration, and family-friendly entertainment.
