Taipei Candidate Shen Po-yang's Comedy Show a Hit, Hints at More

Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Po-yang participated in a stand-up comedy show with councilor candidate Chen Yu-hsin, which generated considerable buzz and positive reactions. Shen, a candidate from the Democratic Progressive Party, made the remarks on Tuesday while campaigning in the Datong District's Taiping Market.

When asked about Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an's strengths beyond prompting Shen's mayoral bid, and whether more comedy shows would be organized, Shen humorously replied that Chiang's strengths should be explained by Chiang himself. He added that if the public enjoys such events, further plans would be made. Shen also quipped that after the show, "everyone was a bit exhausted."

Regarding future performances, Shen confirmed that more shows are likely. "Of course!" he said, but reiterated that the team was quite drained after the first event. He indicated that if the public response continues to be positive, they will proceed with planning. Shen also mentioned ongoing discussions with councilor Wang Shih-chien about campaign strategies, suggesting unique approaches like joint comedy performances.

Shen Po-yang was seen campaigning in the Datong District's Taiping Market, accompanied by local councilor Yen Jo-fang. The event highlighted Shen's unconventional campaign tactics as he seeks to connect with voters through humor and public engagement.
