Taitung Fire Bureau Receives Four-Wheel-Drive Logistics Vehicle to Boost Remote Rescue Capabilities

Taitung County's complex and expansive terrain often presents significant challenges for firefighters during rescue and search operations. Steep mountain paths, rocky dry riverbeds, and even sandy or pebbly coastlines can be impassable for standard logistics vehicles, delaying critical response times and increasing the difficulty of missions.

To overcome these geographical limitations and boost frontline efficiency, the Taitung County Fire Bureau has introduced a new four-wheel-drive logistics vehicle. This vehicle is designed for superior off-road and terrain traversal, enabling it to reach remote mountainous and coastal areas for supply deployment, personnel transport, and disaster response.

The essential equipment was jointly donated by Otsuka Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Efu Di Technology Co., Ltd. A donation ceremony was held where Guo Yilong, General Manager of Otsuka Information, represented the donors, and Jing Weitai, Chief Secretary of the Fire Bureau, presented a letter of gratitude. The event was witnessed by Jin Feng Township Chief Jiang Zheng-guang, County Councilor Zhang Zheng-hui, and Dawu Volunteer Fire Brigade Captain Zeng Zhong-hao.

The Fire Bureau emphasized that every second counts in remote rescues, and enhanced vehicle performance provides a solid foundation for logistical support. They pledge to maximize the vehicle's capabilities to continuously improve rescue and relief quality in the region, strengthening the defense line for remote areas and safeguarding the lives and property of residents.
