Taiwan Adds Miaoli District to Civil Service Exam to Benefit Local Candidates

Taiwan's Ministry of Examination has announced the creation of a new examination district in Miaoli for the Local Government Civil Service Examination. This move aims to better serve local candidates and reduce their travel burdens.

Minister of Examination Liu Meng-chi visited the Miaoli High School examination site, accompanied by Miaoli County Magistrate Chung Tung-chin and Legislator Chiu Chen-jung. During a meeting, Liu announced the official addition of the "Local Government Civil Service Examination Miaoli District." He emphasized that this decision fulfills the demand for localized examinations and will significantly cut down on transportation and accommodation expenses for candidates from the region.

Chung Tung-chin expressed his appreciation, highlighting that Miaoli has greatly benefited local youth since the first high-level civil service examination district was established in 2024. He believes the new Local Government Civil Service Examination district will further benefit residents, enabling Miaoli's young people to perform at their best and contribute to their community through public service.
