Taiwan Business Bank offers loans and deferral measures to aid post-disaster recovery

Taiwan Business Bank (TBB) has activated its disaster financial assistance mechanism to support those impacted by continuous heavy rainfall in central and southern Taiwan. The bank is offering a "SME Disaster Recovery Special Loan" to help affected businesses finance repairs, replace machinery, and manage working capital needs during their recovery.

In addition to business support, TBB is assisting individuals with a "Residential Repair Loan." This loan can be used for home reconstruction and renovation, with a maximum amount of NT$2 million. Up to NT$500,000 of this amount can be used for essential daily necessities like furniture, appliances, and transportation. Applications for this residential loan must be submitted within four months of the disaster.

TBB is also helping disaster victims with insurance claims and credit card loss reporting. To expedite financial assistance, affected businesses and individuals can apply for disaster certificates from local government authorities. Applications for reconstruction loans and existing loan deferrals can be made at any of TBB's 125 branches within six months of the disaster.

For those unable to visit a branch, TBB offers online appointment booking through its customer service center or official website. The bank emphasizes its commitment to supporting businesses and residents in their recovery efforts, leveraging its financial strength to help overcome the flood crisis.
