This initial downpour is expected to be followed by even more intense weather on Saturday, with eastern and southern parts of the island anticipated to experience what are being termed 'purple-red rain bombs.' These descriptions suggest exceptionally heavy and potentially damaging rainfall. Alongside the precipitation, high temperatures are predicted to persist, with daytime highs hovering around 35 degrees Celsius. Certain areas may even experience temperatures reaching 36 degrees or higher. The agency also warned of strong ultraviolet (UV) radiation, advising the public to stay hydrated and use sun protection when outdoors.
