Taiwan launches platform to boost transparency in solar energy sector

Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs, in collaboration with the Kaohsiung City Government, hosted a forum focused on enhancing integrity and transparency within the nation's energy transition efforts. The event, titled the "115th Energy Transition Integrity Transparent Summit Forum," specifically addressed the need for robust anti-corruption mechanisms as Taiwan expands its renewable energy infrastructure.

A key outcome of the forum was the launch of the "Solar Photovoltaic Transparency and Cooperation Action Platform." This new initiative introduces three distinct sections dedicated to publicly disseminating crucial information. The platform is designed to foster greater understanding and trust among stakeholders and the public regarding the development and implementation of solar energy projects.

The ministry emphasized that strengthening the integrity and protection mechanisms is paramount during the ongoing energy transition. By increasing the availability of public information and promoting cooperative action, Taiwan aims to ensure that the shift towards cleaner energy sources is conducted with the highest standards of accountability and ethical practice.
