Taiwan mayoral candidate launches LINE points campaign to recruit ‘Chasing Hsin’ supporters

Taichung mayoral candidate and lawmaker Ho Hsin-chun has launched an official LINE platform designed to turn supporters into “Chasing Hsin” followers.

The “Taichung Pure Faction” system lets residents check Ho’s daily public schedule, campaign events and policy positions. It also offers tasks such as daily check-ins, reading policy materials and inviting friends, with points unlocking campaign-themed digital rewards and physical badges.

The platform presents policy cards covering transportation, family and childcare issues, and industry. It also features Ho’s “six-star municipal administration” agenda, including metro construction, care across all age groups and industrial development.

Users can earn a “Pure Faction” phone wallpaper and retro good-morning image after reaching 300 points. At 500 points, they can unlock a special menu design. Reaching 800 points provides a voucher for a physical badge, which can be exchanged at the campaign headquarters’ founding event on Sept. 12. Other tasks offer three badges and a “Pure Faction Warrior” certificate.

Ho invited residents to join the platform and said people who identify with her team’s ideas can connect to a political donation account to support the campaign with small contributions. She also previewed more campaign merchandise featuring Taichung themes.
