Taiwan military drills civilian vehicle requisition for wartime support

Taiwan's Fourth Operational Command on Tuesday conducted a drill to test the requisition of civilian vehicles and supplies, a key component of wartime mobilization. The exercise, held in Tainan as part of the Han Kuang 42 drills, aimed to verify the process of integrating civilian resources into military support.

Local government, reserve command, and private contractors collaborated to gather civilian vehicles and equipment at designated assembly points. This process ensures that private resources can be quickly converted into military assets when needed, showcasing Taiwan's defense resilience and the integration of civilian capabilities into military operations.

The drill verified the operational procedures for mobilizing civilian resources during wartime, ensuring that all resources can be quickly deployed to assist in achieving combat missions.

The drill involved five medium to large trucks reporting to the assembly area. Following their arrival, military units, along with the Tainan City Government and Tainan Reserve Command, conducted inspections and received the vehicles. This validated the operational procedures for mobilizing civilian resources during wartime, enhancing the operational area's response capabilities and combat effectiveness against potential enemy threats.
