Taiwan police bust drug packaging site; suspect rams police car, injuring officers

Keelung police have dismantled a drug packaging site in a residential area, arresting three suspects and seizing illicit substances. The operation took a dangerous turn when a vehicle arrived at the scene during the raid. The 32-year-old driver, identified as Cai, refused to cooperate with officers and attempted to escape by ramming the police car. Officers were forced to break the car window and use pepper spray to subdue Cai, who then resisted arrest and attacked the police. Three officers sustained injuries during the struggle. Police also discovered drug powders and empty vape cartridges inside Cai's vehicle, suggesting he was delivering to the packaging site. Cai tested positive for drugs, indicating possible drugged driving. The four individuals, including the three arrested at the site and Cai, are being investigated for drug offenses, endangering public safety, and obstructing official duties.
