Taiwan's Foreign Minister Made Secret Visit to Germany

Taiwan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Wu, conducted a discreet visit to Germany at the end of last month, a trip that has now been publicly acknowledged. Wu emphasized that deepening democracy requires continuous attention to transitional justice issues, calling it a long-term endeavor. While he offered few specific details about the visit's itinerary, he reiterated his appreciation for the facilitators and confirmed his familiarity with European nations. His remarks came as he was scheduled to report on Taiwan's international publicity achievements and counter-strategies regarding the South China Sea's sovereignty and legal status at the Legislative Yuan's Foreign and National Defense Committee.
