Taiwan's Military Tests Wartime Production, Drone Ammunition Assembly During Han Kuang Exercise

Taiwan's military industry is demonstrating its wartime production capacity and operational resilience during the "Han Kuang 42" exercise. The Armament Production and Development Center's various factories have activated expanded wartime production mechanisms, showcasing their ability to transition between peacetime and wartime operations, relocate production lines, and sustain support for combat.

Key to this exercise is the first-time practical validation of drone ammunition and fuse assembly. The 202nd Arsenal is processing 155mm artillery shell bodies and filling them with high explosives, while also incorporating drone ammunition assembly. This addresses the demands of modern warfare, including drone strikes and asymmetric combat, by ensuring the installation of fuses and assembly of high-explosive armor-piercing rounds.

Meanwhile, the 205th Arsenal is operating 24/7 to produce T112 assault rifle barrels, including cold forging, receiver milling, and full rifle assembly. This continuous operation, using standardized procedures and precision equipment, guarantees component compatibility and design accuracy. The 401st Arsenal is also rushing production of items like the TS112 close-quarters aiming sight, enhancing individual soldiers' capabilities in long-range precision shooting, close-quarters combat, and urban warfare.

The Armament Production and Development Center emphasized that sustained wartime production and supply of weapons and ammunition are crucial for victory. Through production line relocation, expanded manufacturing, and product testing, the exercise validates the military industry's resilience in maintaining uninterrupted production during wartime. This ensures a steady supply of high-quality weapons and ammunition to frontline units, serving as a robust support for Taiwan's defense operations.
