Taiwan's Mingjian Interchange to Close Nightly for Road Repairs in July

Drivers in Taiwan should be aware of upcoming nighttime construction at the Mingjian Interchange on National Freeway No. 3. The Freeway Bureau is undertaking asphalt concrete road surface repairs, which will lead to intermittent closures of both inbound and outbound ramps. The first phase of work is scheduled from July 6 to 9, during which the entrance ramps will be closed each night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The second phase, from July 13 to 16, will see the exit ramps closed during the same hours. Given the high traffic volume at the Mingjian Interchange, the bureau urges motorists to plan their journeys ahead and seek alternative routes. Specific detour instructions are provided for those traveling south or north, directing them to use National Freeway No. 3 via the Zhushan or Nantou interchanges, respectively, by utilizing provincial highways like the台3線. The bureau also reminds drivers to slow down in construction zones and follow posted signs and guidance from traffic controllers. The schedule may be postponed due to rain, with any changes to be announced.
