Taiwan's 'Night Visit Xiaoyeliu' Bus Tour Offers Unique Coastal Exploration

Taiwan's East Coast National Scenic Area is offering a unique seasonal experience with its "Night Visit Xiaoyeliu" bus tour, operating daily until October 31. This special route, designated 8101D, allows visitors to explore the coastline after dark under the guidance of professional tour leaders. Participants can use flashlights to spot nocturnal creatures like hermit crabs, witness the rare "firecracker flower" bloom only at night, and marvel at the unpolluted starry skies characteristic of the region.

To enhance the travel experience and promote local engagement, the "Taiwan Tourist Shuttle" service has integrated its ticketing platform. Starting July 1, cruise-style ticket packages for the East Coast and Yuchang-Fengbin lines will be exclusively available through the official Taiwan Tourist Shuttle website, replacing sales at convenience stores. Additionally, a new "Local Delicacies X East Coast" package for two is being offered, combining the 8101A East Coast line ticket with accommodation and local specialty products, priced at NT$3,500. This initiative encourages travelers to combine different routes for a richer experience and supports local industries.

Further enhancing interactivity, the 309 Yuchang-Fengbin line features a "bus stop stamp collection activity." This campaign utilizes uniquely designed bus stops depicting local scenery, such as Xibulan Visitor Center and Shiti Ping, as collection points. Travelers can collect distinctive stamps while enjoying the coastal landscapes, turning waiting times into a game, which is particularly appealing to families and collectors.

To encourage feedback, passengers on the East Coast line who scan a QR code on the bus and complete a survey will receive a "East Coast Folding Flying Disc Fan" or a "Stamp Collection Booklet." These efforts aim to make travel more engaging and gather valuable visitor insights.
