Taiwanese airline EVA Air has achieved international acclaim, securing two gold medals at the prestigious 2026 Cellars in the Sky awards ceremony in London. The airline was recognized for its exceptional in-flight beverage service, earning top honors for "Best Business Class Sparkling Wine" and "Innovative Drink."

This achievement makes EVA Air the only Taiwanese airline to be awarded at this year's event, further solidifying its position as a leader in premium cabin experiences. The Cellars in the Sky awards, organized by Business Traveller magazine since 1985, are considered a benchmark for quality in airline catering, judged by a panel of international wine experts through blind tastings.

EVA Air's winning sparkling wine was Laurent-Perrier's "Grand Siècle," a renowned cuvée selected for its fine bubbles, complex flavor profile, and elegant acidity. The "Innovative Drink" award went to Oddbird Blanc de Blancs, a non-alcoholic sparkling wine from Sweden, praised for retaining the structure and aroma of traditional wine while offering a sophisticated option for non-drinking passengers.

The airline has a history of excellence at these awards, having previously won "Best Business Class Cellar" for two consecutive years and maintaining a decade-long streak for "Best Business Class Sparkling Wine." The addition of the "Innovative Drink" category this year highlights EVA Air's commitment to pioneering new offerings and setting trends in high-altitude dining.
