Taiwan Simulates Chinese Invasion Defense; Russia Attacks Sumy

Taiwan's military has simulated repelling a Chinese amphibious assault on the strategically vital Penghu Islands as part of its annual Han Kuang exercises. These ten-day drills, which began last week, aim to test various scenarios in case China, viewing Taiwan as its territory, attempts to seize the island by force.

Preliminary reports indicate five people were injured, with damage to private homes, residential buildings, and infrastructure. The Ukrainian agency Ukrinform reported that 21 people, including a child, were injured in the Sumy region over the past day due to Russian attacks.
