Taiwan Trains 90 'Mobile Tour Guides' for Dajialwan Cycling Tourism

Taiwan is enhancing its cycling tourism by training a new cohort of 90 "mobile tour guides" at the scenic Dajialwan area. This initiative, spearheaded by the Directorate General of Tourism under the "Taiwan Cycling Beautiful" brand, aims to enrich the visitor experience by combining the region's natural beauty with local insights. The Dajialwan National Scenic Area Administration organized the two-day training program, emphasizing the development of professional local talent to complement the area's existing cycling infrastructure.

These newly trained guides are envisioned as "mobile tour guides" who will lead visitors through Dajialwan's diverse attractions. Their role extends beyond simply navigating bike paths; they will provide commentary on the area's unique coastal scenery, mangrove ecosystems, traditional fishing village culture, and local industries. This approach seeks to transform cycling tours into immersive experiences, allowing tourists to connect more deeply with the local environment and way of life as they pedal through the landscape.

The training attracted enthusiastic participants from various parts of Taiwan, including Taipei, Taichung, Taoyuan, and Chiayi. Additional incentives, such as "Green Knight" badges and extra lottery tickets, are offered for those who share proof of travel via public transport, further promoting sustainable tourism and broader participation in exploring the area.
