Taiwan Unveils Chip-Inspired Visual for Double Ten National Day

Taiwan’s Double Ten National Day celebrations will use a chip-inspired design to present the island as a place where separate sources of innovation connect and work together.

The National Day planning committee announced the theme “Happy Birthday, Republic of China” and centered the visual identity on “TAIWAN. TOGETHER AS ONE.” The Double Ten symbol is built like a matrix of chips, with each unit representing a source of innovative energy and collective strength.

The design uses colors drawn from the Republic of China flag. Bright light and layered shades converge toward the center, creating an image of power gathering and hope emerging. Committee Secretary-General Wu Tang-an said the glowing chip imagery represents Taiwan’s continued innovation and its movement toward the future, while portraying every person as part of the country’s development.

Organizers will draw 500 citizens to attend the ceremony in person. Applicants must be at least 18 and hold a Republic of China national identity card. Registration opens online at 10 a.m. on Sept. 3 and closes at midnight on Sept. 10. The selected participants are expected to be announced at noon on Sept. 18, and winners must confirm their places by 5 p.m. on Sept. 20.

The Oct. 10 program will combine performances with a military flypast and celebrations coordinated with New Taipei City and Taitung County. Invited guests must bring their identity cards and entry badges and comply with security checks.
