Taiwanese Actress Chang Yu-yen Celebrates 60th Birthday, Reflects on Life

Veteran Taiwanese actress Chang Yu-yen marked her 60th birthday on May 10th, recently sharing her reflections on reaching this milestone. In a heartfelt Facebook post on May 31st, she expressed her sentiments about entering the age of "sixty, when one understands the world."

Accompanying her post was a photo of herself wearing a white hat, holding a large bouquet of flowers, with a birthday cake adorned with candles. Chang conveyed her gratitude for friends' well wishes and acknowledged the passage of time, stating, "Thank you to my dear friends for remembering me. Chang, a graduate of the National Institute of Arts' drama department, gained early recognition with her debut role in "The Last Children," earning a Golden Bell Award nomination for Best Actress. She rose to further fame playing Lin Daiyu in the CTS production of "Dream of the Red Chamber" and became widely known for "The Shocking Daughter-in-Law," earning her the moniker "First Daughter-in-Law" in Taiwan. She is considered a representative actress of Taiwanese melodramas and currently focuses on acting in Chinese television dramas.
