Taiwanese Basketball Cheerleader Yua Mikami Hopes to Cheer for Baseball

Yua Mikami, the beloved goddess of the TPBL Formosa Dreamers' "Formosa Sexy" cheerleading squad, celebrated her birthday with a fan meeting in Taipei. During the event, Mikami impressed attendees by demonstrating her Mandarin language skills, which she diligently studied during the offseason.

Mikami, who joined "Formosa Sexy" last season, experienced immense popularity, with tickets for her six regular-season appearances selling out. Her success led to her being named the TPBL's Most Popular Cheerleader of the Year. This year's fan meeting, her first overseas birthday event, was limited to 300 attendees.

Looking beyond basketball, Mikami revealed an interest in cheering for baseball games in Taiwan. She finds the idea of staying in Taiwan year-round appealing if she could participate in baseball cheerleading, expressing a desire to try it.
