Taiwanese Singer PiA Wu Pei-ya Turns Divorce into a Celebratory Anthem with Producer Ko Chi-hao

Musician Ko Chi-hao has been instrumental in the success of several artists, with five acts he has worked with receiving Golden Melody Award nominations. These include the band Accusefive, nominated for Best Band; Chou Tzu-tsung, nominated for Best Taiwanese Male Singer; PiA Wu Pei-ya, making her debut attempt at the Best Taiwanese Female Singer award; new Hakka singer Ana; and Golden Melody winner Chalaw Pasiwal.

Ko expressed gratitude for the collaborations, calling it a blessing to work with such talented creators and hoping to continue sharing the beauty of music together. PiA Wu Pei-ya, in particular, is venturing into her first Taiwanese-language album, drawing from her personal experience of divorce. With Ko's creative direction, the album reframes the typically sorrowful subject of divorce into a lively and celebratory occasion, aiming to foster a peaceful separation.

Another nominee, Chou Tzu-tsung, worked with Ko on the single "Ren Jian," which features a powerful rock arrangement with suona instrumentation and a penetrating vocal performance, exploring the challenges of life.

Ko's production work has clearly resonated, with multiple artists achieving significant recognition. The collaboration with PiA, turning a personal hardship into a celebratory artistic statement, highlights Ko's unique ability to transform difficult themes into engaging music.
