Taiwanese stars shine in Chinese variety show finale

The highly anticipated finale of the Chinese variety show "Sisters Who Make Waves 7" (also known as "Sisters Over Flowers 7") aired live, revealing the 12 artists who will form the final group. The season featured 23 contestants vying for a spot, culminating in a star-studded event.

From Taiwan, four of the five participating artists secured their places in the final group: Tseng Pei-tzu, Pace Wu, Jill Hsu, and Annie Yi. Tseng Pei-tzu achieved a remarkable feat by also clinching the overall championship title, visibly moved to tears by the achievement. The final group members, announced in order, were Li Xinjie, Tseng Pei-tzu, An Qi, Zhang Yue, Pace Wu, Annie Yi, Wang Meng, Li Xiaoran, Sun Yi, Tang Yixin, Jill Hsu, and Xu Jie'er.

Zhang Yue was named the "Captain of the Year," expressing her desire to showcase the diverse and resilient facets of womanhood through the show. The "Rider of the Wind Stage" awards were given to performances of "Wish Convenience Store," "CAMERA READY," "Half and Half," and "The First Time I Loved Someone." Li Xiaoran received the "High-Light Person of the Year" award, while Sun Yi and Tang Yixin were honored with the "Rider of the Year" award. Wang Meng took home the "Rider of the Year" title.

The grand finale also featured captivating guest performances from notable artists. Chen Haoyu from "Sisters Who Make Waves 5," Song Yanfei and Li Sheng from "Sisters Who Make Waves 6," and Liu Yuxin, who served as a masterclass mentor in "Sisters Who Make Waves 7," all graced the "Night of Wind" stage, adding further excitement to the event.
