Taiwanese Student Wins National Art Guiding Competition

Li Ruoxin, a student from Guanshi Junior High School in Taiwan, won the national "Guangda Youyiyi - Guided Tour Master Competition" for the junior high school group. Her win highlights the success of art and aesthetic education in the region.

Li Ruoxin, who is in the art class, developed a strong interest in art through the "Guangda Youyiyi" touring exhibition program starting in the eighth grade. To deeply understand the artworks and convey their essence to the audience, she dedicated her free time to studying relevant materials and practicing her vocal techniques, intonation, and body language. Under the guidance of her teacher, Zhong Shuling, she refined her tour guiding skills. The school's teaching team also assisted her with mock Q&A sessions and speech training.

"Guiding is not just about introducing artworks; it's a process of sharing the感動 of art," Li Ruoxin said. Through preparation and practice, she learned to appreciate art from different perspectives and became more confident in expressing her ideas. Guanshi Junior High School has a long-standing commitment to art education and fostering a beautiful campus environment. For years, the school has continuously introduced the "Guangda Youyiyi" exhibition series and integrated it into its curriculum to make art a part of students' learning and daily lives. They also train "guided tour little experts" through systematic courses and practical exercises, empowering students to become disseminators of art and culture.

This is the second time Guanshi Junior High School has produced a national first-place winner in the "Guangda Youyiyi - Guided Tour Master Competition," demonstrating the school's outstanding achievements in promoting art education. The county magistrate, Yang Wenke, expressed pride in Taiwan's art education, noting that in addition to Li Ruoxin's award, two students from Chengcheng Junior High School received honorable mentions, and Shanshan Elementary School was recognized with the "Youyiyi Highlight Award."
